Paul Elledge has long been bringing together photography with music, and his latest contribution is a collaboration with Travis Wright’s solo imprint project, Thisiswar. Paul’s album artwork capture’s the spirit of the music beautifully.

Every once and awhile Paul Elledge gets the chance to create a piece that illustrates the pure emotion of another artist’s work.  Jonny Polonsky, an old friend of the studio,  asked him to create an video for his new song, “Chip Away the Stone.” The result was an ambient and evocative piece of audio and visual art.

Paul Elledge created the album cover art for Chicago musician Chris Connelly‘s latest project, Cocksure. It’s the first release for the rebirth of WaxTrax, a legendary  music label that celebrates the best of independent music in the Chicago scene.

On top of being an amazing portrait shooter, we are huge fans of Paul Elledge’s compelling storytelling through imagery. Team Elledge shared with us their process for finding interesting stories everywhere they go:

When Team Elledge travels for work or pleasure we always have our eyes open. Ideas, projects and visual experiences are all around us. Some of the images Paul makes on his travels can be found at his “Iphone once a day” website.

Other opportunities arrive from the amazing people we meet along the journey. Paul has started another project photographing the racers, fans and suppliers he meets during his AHRMA race events. Some are old friends and some are new ones. One thing in common with these folks is their generosity of sharing something of their personality with the world.
