Christopher recently directed a campaign of spots for The Home Depot with NASCAR’s Rookie Of The Year, Joey Logano. Commisssed by Click Here and The Richards Group, Christopher spent 2 days directing Joey Logano at Joe Gibbs’ Racing Facility and at the Charlottoe Motor Speedway. The spots, which will appear online, were shot on both the Canon 5d Mark II and the new Canon 7d Mark II, with assorted prime lens, allowing Christopher and his crew to quickly and efficiently shoot and move from setup to setup.

Excerpts From Article:
DURATION: I started shooting while I was freelancing as an art director at Team One. I couldn’t find the imagery I wanted, so I shot it. That led to my first assignment: shooting for Ritz-Carlton in Vietnam. That was 2005.
STAFF: Having been an advertising creative on hundreds of commercials during my 15-plus years in the business, I know how important it is to surround yourself with a great crew. And I have a fantastic crew that I work with, starting with my producer-extraordinaire, Cathy Wilson, who makes it all happen and keeps it running smoothly.
CULTURAL INFLUENCES: I have many influences, but if there is one person who is greatly influencing me right now at this moment in time it would be Irving Penn. I want to be just like him when I grow up. That is, I want to be able to photograph anything and transform it into art – like he did. And I want to get better with age and be shooting when I’m in my 90′s – just like he did. Irving Penn was a god.
A PSA Campaign for WE (Wake Education) featuring the photography of Christopher Wilson won 2 Addy awards. The multi-media campaign was created to communicate WE’s commitment to helping severely mentally handicapped adults lead productive, fulfilling lives. Christopher’s role in the campaign was to shoot portraits of numerous individuals enrolled in WE’s outreach programs. Christopher was honored to be the photographer on the project and is equally honored by the recognition.

While on a photography assignment for Morgan Stanley and Strawberry Frog/New York right before Christmas, Christopher had the opportunity to photograph one of his crew members, Derek Bond, who also happens to be an extreme surfer and free diver. It was cold, raining, the surf was high and the water was crazy with white sharks, but Derek happily went everywhere we asked. A good albeit wet time was had by all.
