Our very own Olivia Bee will be presenting at the 12th Annual Lucie Awards this Sunday, November 2nd at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Every once and awhile Paul Elledge gets the chance to create a piece that illustrates the pure emotion of another artist’s work. Jonny Polonsky, an old friend of the studio, asked him to create an video for his new song, “Chip Away the Stone.” The result was an ambient and evocative piece of audio and visual art.

In tribute to Robert Frank and featuring photographs inspired by the open road, the Aperture Foundation hosted their annual benefit auction, Postcards from the Road: A silent auction of small framed works.
We were proud to have Olivia Bee contribute her image The Middle of Nowhere, keeping company with some of the most visionary images makers including, Alec Soth, Todd Hido, Elinor Carucci, Michael Avedon, and many more.
There’s an iPhone app that offers creative new ways of combining photography and sound called Takoo, created by our very own Lars Topelmann. The application combines a photo and audio clip into one file that the you can share instantly in a text, email or on social media.
According to Lars, “Teens will profess their love for each other, photographers will share their images and can add narration, travelers can use it as a talking postcard, parents will have a cool way to keep in touch with their kids and friends can share fun moments together.”
